too sick to get up and go to the office yesterday.  i actually ‘wasted’ the day not doing anything at all ‘coz i can’t bring myself to move normally.  the night had been cruel — feverish, burning throat and lungs/chest, clogged nose, headache, tummyache, achy joints.

kris advised that i just pray so all pain/sickness will go away. 

in my delirious state, i asked God to "please, repair me." 

repair? repair?! 

buti na lang na-gets ni God what i meant :p

there goes the flu…

and yes, it rained so hard…just when i was about to get out of our building.  but rain in july…yeah, truly expected. 

still, the day turned out happy happy pa rin. dinner with my 0′96 barkada (we reached our quota of 7 out of 14!). thanks, shey and bets for organizing!  thanks, mitch, alain, gp, jm, pam, and vani for celebrating with me.

been on a 10-hour bus trip from laoag to manila.  despite the very uncomfy ride and pitiful sleep i had throughout the night, i just took a quick bath and still headed straight to the office.  tipid-tipid leave credits and will have co-birthday-lunch-celebration with atty. leah for our officemates kasi.

kris is still in laoag ‘coz today, incidentally, it is his first session day in the provincial board.  sad not being able to celebrate my birthday with him…but sigh, duty calls.

both my cellphones (sun and globe) are also acting weird on me — there were actually some messages i haven’t read that got deleted when my globe phone suddenly went on a re-booting spree.  sun phone naman just keeps on draining its batt and biglang ayaw nang mag-boot up. 

developed sniffles and sore throat in laoag (nahawa ko pa nga si kris).  now, i feel like a fever is brewing na. dang, the friggin girl-thing pa.

gosh, what’s with today? dapat happy happy ah!

Ria: Bets, you got my baon!

Betty: Baon ko yun!

Ria: No, this is your baon. Drumstick ng chicken laman nito eh.

Betty: Are you sure?

Ria: Yes! I know my chicken. 

Aside:  I don’t like chicken drumstick kasi because it’s my theory that said part is the most used (thus, the toughest) by chickens — they always stand di ba, and yung part na yun ang sumu-support sa buong weight nila. yeah, yeah, kathang-isip ko lang siguro ito; but my imagination is stubborn to be convinced otherwise :p

the event was also broadcasted over the local tv daw. naks, there goes my seconds of fame!  hahahaha.

the affair lasted for two hours — felt like i was trapped in a sauna.  super init that it was hard to remain dignified in a dress with sweat literally gushing from all pores!  eeew.

aside: in the last photo is my co-birthday celebrant, former first lady IRM; nabilib akong konti kay 2nd District Congressman FRM,Jr. kasi his speech was spontaneous and without any umms and ahhs; Governor MMK’s speech was good din.
