What a Metro Manila day!
First, Kris, Nico and I tried the new Pasig River Ferry. We boarded at Guadalupe station; traveled to Escolta and back. My take: great stations (clean, bright, equipped); good but slow-for-me ferries (it took 45 minutes one way); cheap (flat rate of P25); the river stinks (yuck talaga when you board in/out and every time the door opens per station) and filled with floating trash; the squatters along the route are disturbing (dang, some even swim, and some flash their undies); hindi gaanong organized kasi walang specific time of arrival ang mga ferries.
After our river ride, we rode the MRT again to go to TriNoma (the new Ayala mall beside the North Station). It looks and has a feel of Glorietta Makati. Some stores are still closed (as well as the interconnection between the mall and the MRT station) and there are still some construction dust/smell all over. The fountain system looks impressive though. Observation: Ang daming tao…saan sila galing and where do they go prior TriNoma?
