I attended the “Women with Drive Workshop” of Goodyear Servitek on troubleshooting vehicular problems last night. For three hours, we discussed things Under the Hood and Chassis, Electrical matters, and the Tires and Wheels. Ok ang discussion kasi they have a videocam focused on a car and the actual footage was projected on a big screen; hence, we didn’t have to crowd around the car to see what’s going on. We just sat on our seats while the host and the mechanics discussed matters accordingly. We were guided with photocopied manuals na rin so we need not furiously write everything they say.
Overall, the workshop was actually informative; but modesty aside, I am already aware of ¾ of the stuff taken up. Solely handling Xwind and Wudju kasi, I’ve already experienced most of the common problems they brought up. It helped din to make kulit mechanics servicing either vehicle; thus, I am comforted to know I have a good working knowledge na rin pala about car troubleshooting.
But, ok na rin as ‘refresher’ yung workshop na yun. It was free anyway…plus they gave food, drinks, notepads, and shirts pa! J
They said they will have a similar workshop soon. So to my girl friends (pwede rin guys kasi they allowed Kris to sit in), try to attend. Just call 8764707 for information/schedule. Be patient though. I called up said number (noted from an article in PDI) a month ago pa. They returned my call just early last week to ask the location I prefer and again at the end of last week to confirm my attendance.
