- Two weeks ago, I attended a flag ceremony in the institution I am working at (our office was assigned to lead the Panunumpa sa Watawat). I bet I’m the only person who got goosebumps and was actually happy to be singing the national anthem. The reasons: (1) Yeah, I’m a geek and feel proud singing the Lupang Hinirang; and (2) I was in the presence of dignitaries (the people whose ‘works’ I read and some I truly idolize).
- Kris and I went to our first bazaar of the season last Sunday. Not that great and most of the people there can be quite irritating. Medyo A-B/C crowd and organizers, but the pushing and shoving (without any curtesy words) and how makalat they were (food packs, plastic cups and bags ‘left’ anywhere) made us feel like we were in Tutuban/Divisoria.
- Finally, Germanyhas a new chancellor…and a woman at that: si Merkel
- Comatose pa rin si Wycoco! Shocking news.
- LOS ANGELES - Actor Pat Morita, whose portrayal of the wise and dry-witted Mr. Miyagi in "The Karate Kid" earned him an Oscar nomination, has died. He was 73. Morita died Thursday at his home in Las Vegasof natural causes, said his wife of 12 years, Evelyn. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10202732/)
- Local t.v has a new channel: QTV. We watched a few minutes, but found it medyo boring. Parang old broadcasting kasi ang dating;llike RPN is still today.
- TENA adult diapers had an ad at the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Funny ‘coz below the ad is a cut-out-coupon for anyone to send to get free sample of TENA. Mind you, you can indicate the size you want.
- My new way to work is sooo exciting. I see the airport and landing, taxing, boarding airplanes super up close. Dapat in a month’s time, memorize ko na mga logo ng mga commercial airlines ‘coz I often see them na! Pero dahil sa airplanes, medyo nagiging dangerous na yung route na yun — dangerous ‘coz I keep on glancing at the planes and take my eyes off the road!
- Speaking of airplanes, grabe ang dami than usual ang flights these days. Super noisy at home especially during weekends.
