bottled up the past days
***No, I haven’t sworn off blogging. It’s just that the PLDT line in the whole of our village was cut off for 4.5 days! good thing our line is now back to normal, or else they would hear it from an irritated me (and believe you me, I can be a pretty mean customer when demanding a service I expect ‘coz I promptly pay my bills so I would not be troubled with any hassles….good thing for them din that hectic for remedial law ako thursday-sunday and I drove for relatives to tagaytay the whole day today that I didn’t have the time to write them a repair-demand letter &/or call their service hotline about 3x a day!).
***The trip to tagaytay today was fun, though. Finally, I was reunited with relatives (plus a visiting uncle and cousin from Australia) after a month of missing family celebrations! However, I’ve encountered some glitches (expected, but still hoping to have been spared) — today was the start of the SLEX renovation kaya super heavy traffic on some parts going there, my other niece grabbed left wrist where my tendon hurts the most, and my it rained sooooo hard going home!
***Some other irks the past days:
a. Last Thursday, while driving home from remedial law review lecture along south super hwy (a few meters near the barrier going towards the service road), someone threw a rock at the windshield of the car I was driving! Total shock talaga and parang slow motion pa nga kasi I saw how that huge rock hit the glass (in front of the passenger side). Good thing I was driving slow (’coz I was deliberating whether to take the service road or toll way) and the rock did not break the windshield; instead, it just bounced and hit the hood of the car (thereby leaving a dent). Oooohhh, I was just so mad yet shaken at the same time. Of course I did not stop ‘coz baka those sick people will do further damage. Besides, a friend warned me before that on her way home to Alabang in the wee hours of the morning, someone threw a rock din sa windshield nya and crashed the same! Pero she sped away ‘coz surely mas dangerous to stop. Dang.
b. The room assigned on the last bar weekend at westin was so baho — stinking of varnish and may electrical problems. Hassle.
c. That busted PLDT line was cumbersome ‘coz I needed to communicate with a lot of people — email re text tips re remedial exam, email for blood donors for Bets’ dad, Mitch’s medical condition, and to thank people for the bar journey. Grr talaga kaya text galore na lang ako. Sakit tuloy thumb ko na.
d. We had SkyCable service disruptions the past week.
e. The sudden rains yesterday blew towards my bedroom window. The shower was so quick that I wasn’t fast enough to close all my windows. Ayun, basing-basa study table ko and the stuff on it.
f. Last Sunday, we had the same room and seating arrangements as we did on the first Sunday of the Bar Exams. Sigh, the "laser vission-aries" i encountered during the latter were still at it — looking at/reading the face-down exam questionaires and discussing with their schoolmate-seatmate (bakit kasi magkakatabi ang schoolmates sa isang room?) the possible answers. Even bolder this time — louder na ‘buzzing’ nila. As if hindi pa nila perfected ang exams eh!
***Some other glee the past days:
a. I’ve cleared up my remaining bar clutter (if they can be classified as clutter, haha). Remedial and Ethics materials re-bind and some returnables na lang. I’ve watched t.v. like crazy last Monday — hours and hours of national geographic (megastructures galore, megacities), discovery channel (New Zealand movie sites tour, Columbine HS docu), and CNN! Eyestrain heaven!
b. I’ve borrowed Shey’s thick Emily Post book. Hehehe, refining my etiquette again! Man, I’m such a nerdogeek.
c. Last Sunday, had dinner with my lawschool friends; had a sleepover with some HS friends (sa sobrang pagod hde ko na kayang mag-drive pauwi).
d. Ateneo Salubong was fun — mas basa nga lang kami ni ticot this year ng combination of freezing cold beer, wine, and water! Pero ang happy for anne for the experience.
e. Remedial Law and Ethics (plus Legal Forms) were manageable — less gruesome than expected. Sana tama ang feeling ko (pero, terrible pa rin the others so, ewan kung na-even out).
