it has been raining the past days.  but yesterday was a bit stronger than usual…or maybe the sewers were just more clogged compared with the previous days.  i was at waltermart, makati and after a few minutes of heavy downpour, the streets outside became flooded — mid-shin deep!

truly felt bad for those who got stranded and had to wade through the murky waters.  driving a big car does not help either.  one, i fear the waters will reach our ultra-sensitive crosswind muffler.  and two, i feel sooooo guilty to be savoring the car’s cool and dry interiors while people outside are so exposed to bacteria and diseases in the flood. 

i truly want to let some people hitch a ride to anywhere along my way; but with the society we have, i fear i might just end up robbed or even killed. 

*sigh*  it’s weird that taking precaution hinders helping others in need.  if only we can have sensors to detect good/nice people nowadays so we can offer them a helping hand, as well as weed out the bad ones and protect ourselves from them.
